Bernie has been done for a while now and this is coming from a Bernie guy. I will vote for Biden in November but I am worried about his ability to form a ground game with low youth involvement. Anecdotally, I was offered the chance to campaign for the general election - but to take this chance, I would have to leave my good paying, stable, currently remote corporate job to move to a battleground state right after my college graduation and get paid peanuts. For Bernie I was 75% going to take it, for Biden I will be staying at my current job. As a latino age 22 male, it’s hard for me to forget the Obama years of immigrants deportations. I will vote for Biden, but will Biden have a strong campaign ground game that is usually made of young, politically involved youth? Doubtful. Could he win regardless? Yeah, he could. But it still worries me.

The point I wanted to make is that mil spec, while hardly perfect, does point to a written specification that the item has to meet. “Military Grade” means nothing, it is marketing hype as it points to nothing. It is an overused term that is trotted out when you can’t point to specific standard or specification, but still want to IMPLY that it is something special. Much like those flashlights that that ex-fighter pilot used to hype on TV.That's always bothered me.
