Is this common among US native tribes? Because as much as I know, here in Brazil, native people are really poor, and the system is in a way made to make sure they stay that way, with laws that prohibit entrepreneurship in reserves. They're only allowed to plant native species, they can't use machines to automate the work on their farms, and they are not allowed to sell anything, they can only plant for their own survival. So, is this a proof that economic freedom works better than the state's "protection"? Or is this case just an exception and most native tribes in the US are poor?
