You all are missing the point so hard lol. Commercial building codes are more stringent. It doesn't matter if it's the "bare minimum" to meet that code. The point is that the minimum floor is higher for commercial buildings, so something that is "built to code" for commercial standards indicates a minimum level of quality that you can expect. It's still a useful indicator, just like all of the other quality certifications being referenced in this thread. They're not marketing ploys.
