My good friend, we used to work together at a fast food place, he was frying up plates of food to go out. One night he was reaching for a handful of fries for some plates, but instead he reached straight into the grease vat with plastic gloves on. While there have been a small number of accidents I would say that, compared to the volume that has been safely stored, it is relatively safe to store it this way.First story I read said ammonium nitrate.
